These are amateur photographs I have taken over the past three decades. I am posting these for my enjoyment and that of my friends. I hold the copyright to all these pictures.
The purpose of art is not the release of a momentary ejection of adrenaline, but rather the gradual, lifelong construction of a state of wonder and serenity.

Grand Traverse Bay shoreline
Taken on the western shore of Grand Traverse Bay, Michigan, during Christmas week, 1974. I love the way the sun catches the mist rising by the shore & trees. Tom Brooks was trying to teach me a bit about photography -- he became the professional. Good friends are the breath of life.
What an awesome shoreline! I don't think I can get as far as 29 years... but since elementary school, it's been 20 years, so slowly but surely getting there :)

Great shot. The framing is just PERFECT. The only thing I don't like is the glare on the trees. But otherwise its fine.
Two pictures in one day... What a treat. I like the lighting on the rocks, they look slippery.
I wouldn't know how old these are if you didn't tell us. Great shots, then and now!
Nice shot, is that a little lens glare I detact along the trees.
I don't think the lens was little -- these were the years I was using my Minolta SRT-101 and if I recall correctly that lens was an f1.7. ;-)
