Better him than me! :o)
Nice capture of emotion (agony?) and nice effects!
wow wow wow. very very nice action shot.what kind of lens do you use here? images are soft and very clear. :)
Nice shots. I run 10km and I recognize on the face of this guy the extrem tiredness that we fell after a run. I'd like to thank you for all your comments on my blog. Cheers
Nice shots! The guy looks really tired out! Must be really proud of himself! Did he win?
he looks very fit! did he win?
This guy did not win, although he was in the otp twenty, if I recall. The winner was checking his time on his watch as he sailed in; I think he was running elsewhere in the afternoon. One person ran both the previous 10k and this 5k that same morning.
He looks exhausted, nice sports sequence.
That is a great set! I love that last picture- so much emotion- he's making me feel tired!

Now he must have been puffed out. Great capture
I hope he will not get a heart attack! ;-)
I love selective desaturation when used right, I don't get the 1st shot. Seems like you did this using Picassa. How did you?
Niice series of action shots, seems like he was just about to pass out, looks like me when I climb up 1 set of stairs. Lazy like that you see :)

Thanks Suby.
I was just playing around. Picasa (note spelling) has three tabs for editing. The right tab, "Effects," has an option called "Focal B&W." I wanted to see what it looked like and what comments I would get. Of course, it is nothing like you (not me) can do in PS -- it basically allows you to decide the size of the circle of colour and how sharp the demarkation will be between the colour and b&w areas. But while I am in traction and not supposed to be on the computer unnecessarily, it is all I have time to do and still get a little fun with experimentation.
Fraser,
Prefer spelling it as "Picassa". Stubborn like that. Have tried the same effect in "Picassa" (told you I was stubborn like that) and really could not make it work.
No harm in experimenting bro. How else are we going to know what works and what doesn't? Anyway point taken. :)

P.s
Have a lovely weekend
Have a lovely weekend yourself (in your cleaned place.) Hope the precleaning didn't do you in. :-)
Great action shots, he looks like he's had enough!
Great documentation. I love how you've done a series of three shots. The photos wouldn't have had the same impact in isolation.
Wonderful set of photos! I feel his pain in that last shot!
