After the War of the Roses

The English War of the Roses was fought between the houses of Lancaster and York, symbolized by red and white roses. Some believe this bicolor rose was picked to represent the end of that war and the beginning of the Tudor house. A fragrant rose in my garden. Posted by Picasa
